Overview:
Explore one of Spain’s biggest Metropolitan cities in a fun and quirky way as you zoom around on a Vespa to see all that Barcelona has to offer. Zip in and out of the charming architecturally rich streets to see famous museums, churches and parks.
Description:
Barcelona is packed full of diverse neighborhoods, monuments and museums, all of which you can enjoy from the comfort of your Vespa. Don’t get stuck on a stuffy bus, take in the open air as you scoot on over to Jean Nouvel’s Torre Agbar La Monumental which is the last operating bullfighting arena in Catalonia. After that you’ll pass by Antonio Gaudi’s world famous Sagrada Famillia, modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner’s ‘Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau,’ and be lead on a short visit of ‘Parc Güell’ (also by Gaudi), before hitting the mountain.
Stroll your Vespa through the largest metropolitan park in world, the Parc de Collserola, and eventually your path will take you to the top of the Tibidabo; at 512 meters tall it’s the tallest in the Serra de Callserola.
After visiting Norman Foster’s Torre de Collserola and stopping for a great lunch (if booked) sit back and enjoy the spectacular views looking down on the city and the surrounding coastline, then get back on your Vespa and drive down through the “chic” uptown and reach the grid pattern of the Eixample
Continue by the Passeig de Gracia, the most famous boulevard in Barcelona, and the “Illa de la Discòrdia”, with its visual clash between the different Modernist masterpieces one next to the other, finally you’ll conclude your tour and head back to home-base.
