Departing from Madrid, you will drive by comfortable air-conditioned coach witnessing magnificent countryside unfold as you head through La Mancha country towards Cordoba. Spend some time exploring the city’s famous mosque and Jewish Quarter before continuing for dinner and an overnight stay in the lovely Andalusian city of Seville.
Day 2. Sevilla
This morning an expert guide will lead you on a tour of Andalusia’s most vibrant city. Become acclimatized to sights and sounds of this unique city as you visit the Park of Maria Luisa and the Plaza de Espana with its colorful mosaic walls. Take in a typical Santa Cruz barrio and have the afternoon to explore at your leisure.
Day 3. Sevilla – Granada
After breakfast, the tour departs for Granada for a visit to the incredible Alhambra with its beautiful Nazari Palaces and Generalife Monuments. The best expression of Islamic art in Spain, it was the former palace, residence and harem of the Moorish rulers and contains sections that date back to the 9th-Century.
Day 4. Granada – Valencia
Following your overnight stay in Granada you will travel through the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada, via the beautiful towns of Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreras. Your destination for the evening is the vibrant Mediterranean resort of Valencia.
Day 5. Valencia – Barcelona
One of the liveliest cities in Spain, you will have time after breakfast to enjoy Valencia at leisure before a mid-morning departure for Barcelona. Drive up the coast of the magnificent Balearic Sea on your way to the Catalan capital.
Day 6. Barcelona
After breakfast, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Barcelona’s historic neighborhoods. You will go to Montjuic Park to visit the Olympic stadium and catch spectacular views of the city below. Back at sea level, take in the Christopher Columbus Monument and stroll around the Gothic Quarter. You will have the afternoon to explore at leisure, so why not visit some of the amazing Gaudi buildings that the city is famous for?
Day 7. Barcelona – Zaragoza – Madrid
Leaving Barcelona behind, you will drive to Lerida and travel through the diverse Aragon landscape on the way to Zaragoza. Enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace. Noted for its cathedral and the Aljaferia Palace, the city combines splendid examples of Islamic, Romanesque and Gothic architecture. You will then continue to Madrid for the end of your tour.
Accommodation throughout this beautiful trip is in comfortable and centrally located 3 and 4-star hotels, with delicious breakfasts and evening meals.
