Barcelona: 3-Hour Food Tasting Tour

Taste the delicious “pintxos” of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter on a 3-hour walking tour, and learn the gastronomic history of the Catalan capital on an experience for all the senses. Discover historic taverns down medieval streets, and much more.

Taste the traditional pintxos (small snacks) of Spain on a half-day walking tour of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Usually eaten in bars and taverns, traditional pintoxs consist of small slices of bread on which a mixture of ingredients are placed and fastened with a toothpick.

Visit 3 typical taverns as you walk, stopping to taste a range of pintxos, served with a soft drink, glass of wine or beer of your choice.

Depart Plaça Nova, in front of Barcelona Cathedral, and walk down Carrer del Bisbe, site of a flamboyant Gothic bridge. Continue to romantic Plaça de Sant Felip Neri at the entrance to Barcelona’s Jewish Quarter. Walk to elegant Plaça de Sant Jaume, home to the Palace of the Generalitat of Catalonia and City Hall.

Then, cross Via Laietana to Carrer de l’Argentería in the trendy Born neighborhood. See the mariners church of Santa Maria del Mar, a jewel of Catalan Gothic architecture. Walk past the mansions of Carrer Montcada to tree-lined Paseo del Borne for the end of your pintxos food tour.
