Start with a driving tour of L’Eixample, marveling at the Modernisme apartment blocks of La Pedrera and Casa Batllo on the Passeig de Gracia. Continue along the Avinguda Diagonal to Antoni Gaudi’s iconic Sagrada Familia basilica. Next, go to the Arc de Triomf at the entrance to the Parc de la Ciutadella, and discover Barcelona’s green lung in the heart of the city. Pass the monument of Christopher Columbus pointing to the Americas down at the port.
Next, transfer to the heliport for a helicopter flight over Barcelona Port, the World Trade Center and Maremagnum entertainment complex. Look down at the long beaches lining the promenade from the former fishing village of Barceloneta, enjoy aerial views of the Olympic Port and Olympic Village, and see the mouth of the Besòs River.
Once back on land, head to Port Vell and sail along the Mediterranean coast by ecological catamaran. Enjoy views of Barcelona’s skyline from the water, and feel the taste of saltpeter and the sea damps before disembarking at Port Olimpic.
