Description:
Make light work of Barcelona’s narrow streets on a 2.5-hour electric bike tour, departing from the Gothic cathedral of the 13th to 15th centuries, and ending with a tour of the 19th-century L’Eixample.
Your first stop will be the Parc de la Ciutadella, where you can admire the ornamental waterfall that Antoni Gaudi designed when he was still a student. Continue to El Born, a hidden gem of Barcelona’s old medieval center, and fast becoming its most fashionable district.
Next, head to the Sagrada Familia in the grid-like streets of L’Eixample. Barcelona’s most iconic building, the spectacular – and still unfinished – cathedral would have been Gaudi’s crowning glory. Marvel at the distinctive spires and contrasting façades of the fairytale cathedral. You will skip the long lines to enjoy an audio-guide tour of its most impressive features.
End with a cycle down Passeig de Gràcia to see 2 of Gaudi’s most famous apartment blocks. The Casa Batlló and Casa Milà are at the center of the famous “La Manzana de la Discordia,” a collection of fanciful buildings of the Modernisme, with mosaic façades, ornamental balconies, and bizarre chimneys.
