Overview:
See Barcelona like a native, from the back of a 2-wheel Vespa. Take a half-day guided scooter tour of the city’s historic streets, with a trip up Montjuïc for fantastic city panoramas.
Description:
As the European city with the largest number of motorcycles, in proportion to its population, Barcelona’s easy size, together with its Mediterranean climate, make a scooter the best way to get around, avoiding traffic and parking problems.
The tour will give you a comprehensive view of new and old Barcelona. Departing from the trendy Born district, you will head to Port Vell and Barceloneta, cruising along the seafront. Drive through the newest part of the city, filled with modern architecture, such as Jean Nouvel’s Torre Agbar, and on to Gaudi’s dazzling Sagrada Familia.
Zip through the grid pattern of L’ Eixample, past more Gaudi and Modernist masterpieces. Arrive at the central Plaça Catalunya, and drive down the famous Las Ramblas, past the stunning La Boqueria market. From here, nip down the narrow and atmospheric streets that surround the MACBA and CCCB.
Finally, head up towards Montjuïc. Explore its exotic gardens, Olympic Stadium, museums, and Montjuïc Castle, with time to breathe and take in the magical views. You will then nip back down the hill, and make your way back through the city to the Via Vespa base in Born.
