On this guided tour, you will discover Barcelona by bike and experience the rich history of this Mediterranean city first hand.
With a group of no more than 15 people, cycle at a leisurely tempo through the narrow lanes of the Gothic Quarter, this historical center of Barcelona. You will stop at Plaça de Sant Jaume, where you will be able to see the Catalonian seat of government as well learn about the fluid history of Catalonia and Barcelona.
Continue to Port Vell, from where you can see the Columbus monument and Barcelona’s Montjuïc. The tour will then continue through the magical Parc de la Ciutadella, site of the 1888 World’s Fair, to the Arc de Triomf, the triumphal arch of Barcelona, and of course the world-famous Sagrada Familia, city landmark and Gaudi masterpiece. There you will learn all about the famous architect and the Catalan Art Nouveau movement: Modernism.
Later you will pass a former bull fighting arena and cycle through the Olympic Village of the 1992 Olympic games, on your way down to the beach. On the return journey cycle along the beach promenade, and through the old fishing district of Barceloneta, before you arrive back at the tour’s starting point where you will return your bikes. Cycling through Barcelona is an experience you should not miss!
